lilac for women. Concept: a nap in a summer garden. A fragrance duo following the success of Davidoff Cool Water and Cool Water Deep, the concept tries to capture “the intense experience of living”. Emotion: the two fragrances- For Him & For Her – are meant to re-emphasize the magnetic attraction between the opposite sex- a picture of hip youngsters having fun, surfing, sunning, and enjoying on the beach.

Nina by Nina Ricci


Game A new feminine fragrance from the fashion house of Nina Ricci – Nina, was launched in India recently. A floral fruity, Nina is expression of a new “fairy tale” according to Margerie Barbes- Petit, Brand Director, Parfums Nina Ricci.
A fresh, fruity, meant to be mouthwatering floral, the fragrance has been created by Olivier Cresp and Jacques Cavallier of Firmenich. Notes:Top note : Calabrian Lemon, Caipirinha Lime / Middle note : toffee apple, Peony, Moon Flower, Praline/ Base note : Apple wood, White Cedar, Musks. Packaging: An apple-shaped bottle, in shades of raspberrypink and bright red to connote a candy apple. The fruit is decorated with shiny metal leaves and stem. In the creation of this image, the brand has tried to re-invent it’s 1952 Chypre creation- “Fille d’eve” OR ‘Daughter of Eve’. SKU – Comes in EdT 30 ml, 50 ml and 80 ml. Boss Selection by Hugo Boss
A German designer brand Hugo Boss introduced the Indian market to it’s new fragrance Boss Selection. The fragrance business of the brand now falls under the P&G Prestige stable. Emotion/Theme- “Make an Impression” – meant for self-confident men who feel good about themselves and their success in life! Notes: Top Note-Mandarin Orange, Pink Pepper, Grapefruit/ Middle Note- Cedar Needles, Star Anise, Geranium/ Base Note- Heliotrope, Vetiver, Musks, Cedar, Patchouli Packaging: Lutz Hermann designed the bottle with ‘pure and luxurious lines’, framed in black. The graphic effect is reproduced around the edges of the gray package. The ad-campaign stars German actor Thomas Kretschmann. The fragrance is distributed in India by MKP Distributors, who claim the brand is the top performer at Indian retail outlets.

Silver Black for Men by Azzaro
Designer brand Azzaro (with Parfums Azzaro being a part of Clarins group) recently launched the new men’s fragrance- Silver Black. The fragrance has been created by
Francoise Caron of Quest International. Emotion: Directed at ‘today’s man’ – a person who perhaps knows how to combine‘sophistication and virility, playfulness and timelessness’. Notes: The fragrance is from the fresh, aromatic and woody family Green Appple, Bergamot, Green Lemon/Mid-Notes- Coriander, Cardamom, Caraway and Juniper/Base Notes- Cedarwood & Musk Packaging: The box comes in a brushed aluminium finish and the bottle is made to fit into a man’s hands with a steel band that reveals the name on a shiny background. A new fragrance from the house of American desiger brand Ralph Lauren – Pure Turquoise (L’Oreal Prestige Products) was launched in India very recently. Notes: Floral Chypre Top Note: Dewy Cassis, Indigo Violet Petals, Lily Of The Valley, Cactus Flower, Middle Notes: Night Blooming Cereus, Orange Flower Absolute, Bulgarian Rose Absolute Desert Lily/ Base Notes: Patchouli, Sliver Birch Wood, Polished Amber, Vanilla Bourbon, Rum. Emotion: The Colour turquoise and the fragrance embody the ‘Pure Turquoise woman’ in her chic elegance –one who appreciates beauty in all its forms and embraces nature and its mysteries.. She wears turquoise close to her heart for protection and strength. It is the simplest of adornments, yet its effect is profound. Packaging: Every bottle is handmade by the Brosse Factory, which is over 100 years old. They produce glass in this very old-fashioned way- using a semi-automatic procedure to hand polish the glass - a very labor-intensive process, each bottle is sent through a curing fire process that stabilizes the glass. At the end of this process a person waits by a wheel and hand polishes each bottle to achieve this beautiful clear polished glass. This procedure is no longer practiced by others, making Brossethe only factory in the world to still use this very traditional way of producing fine glass. Each faceted glass bottle is topped with a one-of-a-kind natural turquoise stone - which is custom-cut and polished by hand.
