Holistic therapies are an excellent way to give time to ourselves,
relax and to support the body’s own healing mechanisms &
help create the right conditions for oneself.
A very important and effective modality of healing is Creative
Visualization.
All of us day dream about the things we would like to achieve
in life regarding our career, relationships, emotions, finances,
spirituality etc. Why is it that some people achieve it effortlessly
and others have to struggle for achieving the easiest thing in
life? Unable to achieve the desired results increases the stress
levels and therefore affecting ones health.
One of the secret of making things work for you is “day
dreaming” in the right way so that the mind takes the right
actions at the right time. The process of using the technique of
imagination in a relaxed yet highly alert state of mind and
programming the subconscious mind is Creative Visualization
Creative visualization is best done in a relaxed state of mind
where it is easy to reprogram the subconscious mind with
positive images, affirmations, thoughts and feelings
It uses the vast untapped resources of the subconscious mind
by using the five senses viz. sight, sound, taste, smell and
emotions/feelings
Creative Visualization can be applied in any area of life. Namely
to improve ones health, stop smoking, drug abuse, to reduce
weight , to stay fit, stress management, goal achievement,
healing, improving relationships, increasing income, achieving
better grades in examination, etc.
Creative Visualization is very easy to learn and one can go
through the process of learning the same by personal or group
training sessions, reading and practicing from books, or taking
the help of learning aids like audio tapes, videos etc which
help through the process of guided visualization.
One must have a strong desire to achieve the goal in order for
this process to be effective. A self belief and expectancy of the
process to be extremely effective are other factors which make
the process successful.
Let us now experience a simple yet powerful process of creative visualization.
Focus your awareness on your breathing and gently inhale.
Now relax and communicate with your mind to let go of the
discomfort.
Imagine a golden white light coming from above your head
and then covering your entire body and penetrating each and
every cell of your body. Imagine with every time you inhale you
are inhaling relaxation and with time you exhale you let go of the stress and tension in your mind and body. Do this a few
times. Focus your awareness on your breathing and listen to
the rhythmic beating of your heart. If necessary adjust your
body posture and your breathing rate to make you more
comfortable. There may be a lot of thoughts passing in the
mind. Tell your mind that there is lot of time later to deal with
these thoughts and just be an observer of these thoughts while
gently focusing on your breathing.
Now bring your attention to that part of your body that is in
discomfort. Talk to it as if you are talking to your friend and ask
what message it wants to give you. Trust the first impression
that comes in your mind. This could be an image, a sound or a
feeling. Acknowledge it and ask your body how best it can heal
it naturally. Give the discomfort lots of positive and loving
energy and pink light. Continue till you get a feeling of
comfort. Ask how often you need to do this and is there any
other thing you need to do to complete the healing process.
Have belief in yourself and your mind-body’s intelligence to
heal the dis-ease. EXPERIENCE THE HEALING.
