Tell us about Informa Markets in the post COVID era?
Informa Markets in India is the country’s leading exhibition organiser that provides the industry with platforms that bring together buyers and sellers from around the world through a portfolio of events, content-led conferences and seminars. We create platforms for industries and specialist markets to trade, innovate and grow. Since our establishment in 2006, we have been hosting over 24 large-scale events and 40 conferences across the country every year.
The pandemic played havoc with public health, necessitating a lockdown that had a huge impact on the economy. Today, we are again touching the 2019 scale. This interim phase was critical to learn, adapt, seek solutions and rebuild. Over the course of the pandemic, the exhibitions sector per se took a resounding blow from this fallout. But we relentlessly persevered by means of our alternate/additional methods of engaging and staying connected with our customers through our wide-ranging array of digital events. We were quick to comprehend that our stakeholders’ business needs had started evolving. Looking ahead, we will continue to provide turnkey hybrid engagements, combining the best of physical and virtual platforms. These will enable us to offer efficient, impressive and state-of-the-art solutions to our customers.
As a matter of fact, currently, we are celebrating our ‘Festivity of Business’ campaign this high season till year-end. Coming back to Cosmoprof – how has the response been?
Cosmoprof India is the ideal B2B event for the fast-growing and rapidly evolving beauty market scape in India. After a lull of two years since its launch, we kickstarted the second edition of Cosmoprof India in Mumbai last year in December and closed with excellent results. Is it difficult to RUN A STRICTY B2B COSMETIC INDUSTRY FAIR when your competition has created a sort of hybrid fair?

Tell us about Cosmopack? What is the ratio between finished products and packaging this year?
Cosmopack India is a B2B show for the beauty supply chain. It will host international and domestic companies ranging from raw materials and labs to private label and contract manufacturing, machinery, and packaging companies. This show will host the most innovative proposals and beauty-tech novelties. Cosmopack India will create profitable synergies, facilitating the connection between suppliers and brand companies, which can therefore look for new innovative products and solutions to develop their business further. The Beauty Awards- how do you decide and how does it help a brand?
Cosmoprof India Awards is our initiative to celebrate the products, brands, innovations, new formulas and designs that are breaking beauty standards, changing the way to perceive beauty and that will become best sellers, globally. It will honour excellence in beauty products, packaging design and formulation. Cosmoprof is the only trade show global network where exhibitors come from every sector of the beauty industry, from raw materials, formulation, packaging, OEM/ODM, and machinery to finished products. This facilitates the awards to be hosted for the entire beauty industry starting from the supply chain until the finished product. We explore the most outstanding finished products, highlighting innovations, new technologies and the latest trends in formulation and packaging design.
The awards process is initiated beginning 4 months prior to the tradeshow and lasts until the closure of the award ceremony. Curated by the international trend agency BEAUTYSTREAMS, this year’s edition of Cosmoprof India Awards will be held on October 6th from 7.00 pm onwards at Hotel Sahara Star, Mumbai and will see attendance from Exhibitors, VIP Buyers, Bloggers/Influencers, Speakers, and Industry Veterans. We appoint the jurors (an independent board/panellists) who are in charge to examine and vote for the participants and their products. The jury is selected from amongst renowned journalists, entrepreneurs and experts in the beauty sector. How do you see Cosmoprof India growing in the coming years- any targets in mind? Which areas do you see expanding more than others.
Traditional segments such as skincare and hair will keep growing, from what we can understand from the latest market research. Indian beauty will increase its attention on sustainability, trying to connect the ancestral value and efficacy of traditional beauty with low-impact solutions. The Indian supply chain will keep growing, too. Local companies are investing in innovation and new technologies to follow younger generations’ requests for higher quality and safety standards. For what concerns distribution channels, e-commerce will increase its influence in the market.
The new Venue – tell us how its going to impact business?
