L’Oréal Professionnel Celebrates 110th Anniversary in Mumbai
L’Oréal Professionnel celebrated 110 years of artistic excellence with the first edition of their Hair Fashion Night in India. The celebrations were held on 4th September 2019, at NESCO – Mumbai. Undoubtedly one of the biggest worldwide events, the L’Oréal Hair Fashion Night was a record-breaking French Balayage marathon where top Indian hair artists showcased their makeovers for top Indian influencers, under one roof. The event also saw the launch of L’Oréal’s new augmented reality-based ‘Style My Hair’ app that features 3D makeover technology.

The best hairstylists from across the country have come together to create this first-of-its-kind phenomenon, as 110 women get their hair coloured presenting a real game-changer in the professional beauty industry,” said Binaifer Pardiwalla – General Manager, L’Oréal Professionnel, India.
Featuring celebrities like Sophie Chowdhary, Amyra Dastur, Gauhar Khan, Mandana Karimi, Evelyn Sharma and Kishwer Merchant, Hair Fashion Night kicked off with the 110 hairstylists being paired with the 110 influencers. The entire makeover process was showcased at the event culminating in a ramp walk, complete with make-up and styling.
The Style My Hair App, launched on the same day, has 3 features – Moodboard with Pinterest like inspiration boards that will be linked to the colour plan, 3D Try On that allows you to take a picture and do a virtual live colour demo, and Swatchbook which lets you experiment with different shades. This 3-in-1 colour consultation tool will transform the salon experience for hair stylists and clients. AR technology is believed to be a true game-changer that is not only going to transform the consumer experience on mobile but also in the salons.
